Are games struggling with performance issues on the PS5? In the case of Quantum Error, the developers made a statement on this subject.

In the past few weeks, the rumour has been circulating that the PS5 is not able to conjure up a convincing 4K resolution on the screen for all games. There was talk of performance problems. These statements were put into circulation by more or less well-known insiders, who usually could not name any games or studios by name.

A current statement from TeamKill Media makes it clear that reality can be completely different. The company is currently working on Quantum Error and apparently has no problems with bringing the shooter on the PlayStation 5 to 4K resolution with a stable 60 FPS. This can be seen in a statement on Twitter below.

At first, one user wrote quite provocatively: “Quantum Error. A corridor shooter is struggling to get 4k30 on ps5. It’s trying to get to 4k which means downgrade, etc to “optimize” to run on PS5.”

The reaction from TeamKill Media was not long in coming. The company was amazed at where the user got this nonsense from. “Not sure where this quote comes from but, it didn’t come from us. Quantum Error currently is running at 4K 65-70 FPS unoptimized. We will be hitting our goal of 4K 60 FPS. And there will be much more than just corridors lol!”

TeamKill Media can of course only speak for their own game, so we have to wait and see what performance the PS5 games will really show in the coming months. At least the pure Tflops number of the new Sony console differs markedly from the value of the Xbox Series X.

Rumours and speculations about the next-gen consoles of PS5 and Xbox Series X are increasing. Sony and Microsoft continue to prefer to forego new information about the next generation.
