The next State of Play of Sony will take place today at 9 pm BST / 10 pm CEST, but it is not the only news of the day today.
As Gematsu found out on Twitter, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has been rated in South Korea. In addition to being perhaps the first evaluation of a PS5 game, this indicates that perhaps the release date of the title could soon be revealed.
Obviously, since Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a launch title of the next-generation console of Sony, this means that the PS5 release date could also be announced soon. It is very unlikely that anything will be revealed during today’s State of Play as Sony will focus on PS4 and PlayStation VR games alongside third-party PS5 games.
But perhaps the open-world game may be associated with the other PS5 announcement that Sony is rumoured to be organizing later for this month. There is also Gamescom by the end of August with the Opening Night Live event which is usually the site of major announcements. According to a recent report, the game will also come with a remastered version of Marvel’s Spider-Man that has been improved for the PS5 hardware.
Obviously, it goes without saying that if there has been a classification of a game on Playstation 5, logically the console release date should also be announced.
The only doubt in this regard is in fact on the agenda of today’s event: surely the company will focus on the releases of VR games for Playstation 4, so there may not be time for announcements of all sorts, that’s why Sony is rumoured to be hosting another event dedicated exclusively to PS5 for this month.
Spider-man: Miles Morales will launch on PS5. Its release date has not been confirmed yet.
