The anticipation of AMD’s new lineup of video cards is getting stronger as Nvidia stole a big chunk of the spotlight with the announcement of the RTX GeForce 3000 series.
Nonetheless, the undoubted value for money of the Califonian house has always been able to attract millions of buyers who prefer it despite the momentary domination of the rival company that has recently acquired ARM for the staggering figure of 40 billion dollars.
Same goes for the new AMD Radeon RX 6000 (presumably the Big Navi), based on an RDNA 2 GPU that really seems to find the interest of many users. What you can see below are the first images of the card and its cooling system based on three fans in addition to the 8-pin power connectors.
The same video card appears to have been spotted on the Ashes of The Singularity game benchmark with excellent results. However, we are not yet aware of if this will be the flagship GPU of the new line, the cheapest or the “medium” one that will make up the entire lineup.
In the tweet below you can see the results obtained ranging between 5900 and 6200 points. The result, as has been rumored for a long time, is on par and in some circumstances even better than a RTX 2080 Ti of the rival Nvidia in the basic and not overclocked version (otherwise the GPU would even reach 7800 points).
Most likely AMD will present several new video cards during the event on October 28. Some will be based on Navi 21 and will compete with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 and above; the others, based on Navi 22, will rival the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 and all lower models.
