It was expected that the lawsuit initiated by Epic Games against Apple would end up affecting the gaming experience of Fortnite users on iOS mobile devices and on Mac.

As a result of what happened, Fortnite: Battle Royale can no longer be played on iPhone and iPad, as the necessary updates to run it are no longer available and today it was confirmed that there are just a few days left for the same to happen with Mac.

Through a post on the official site, Epic Games noted that because Apple no longer allows the arrival of new updates for Save the World mode, the component will stop working on the company’s computers.

According to the information, this mode will see the release of the patch that will make it version v14.20, so that when trying to run it on Mac computers there will be no positive results and in a moment it will be impossible to access it.

Likewise, Epic Games reported that it will refund the amounts spent by players in Fortnite: Save the World from September 17, 2019 to September 17, 2020, so they can expect the money to be returned to their accounts no later than on October 2. In that sense, the company made it clear that the process will be carried out automatically, so no request will have to be made.

Finally, Epic reported that Fortnite: Battle Royale can still be played on Mac thanks to the fact that it is running with version v13.40, but once the new update arrives it will no longer be possible to enjoy the game.
