Battlefield 6 Officially Confirmed by EA, Full Reveal and Release Set for Spring and Holiday 2021

We all have been waiting for the next Battlefield game for quite some time now. But, now it seems that we could finally get the next Battlefield or the Battlefield 6 game soon in the year ahead. During Electronic Arts Q3 FY 2021 earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson shared some new details on the next Battlefield game.

Battlefield 6 Full Reveal and Release Date?

Andrew confirmed that the full reveal of the Battlefield 6 game will take place this spring in 2021, with a Holiday 2021 release window for the game.

He further revealed that the next new battlefield game will offer an “all-out military warfare” and will support more players than ever before. This likely means that the game will have more than 64 players’ limit.

The game will take full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S to bring massive and immersive battles to life with more players than ever before. Below you can find an overview of the note from Electronic Arts Q3 FY 2021 earnings report.

  • Wilson said, We have a deep and robust pipeline of new content, with
more than 35 new games in various levels of incubation and development for the future. We’re looking forward to sharing a lot more about our [fiscal year 2022] plans in the months ahead, including our next Battlefield experience, which will mark a return to all-out military warfare.”
  • “The game takes full advantage of the power of next-generation platforms to bring massive, immersive battles to life with more players than ever before. Featuring maps with unprecedented scale, the next edition of Battlefield takes all the destruction, player agency, vehicle and weapon combat that the franchise is known for and elevates it to another level.
  • The team is focused and the game is ahead of our internal milestones. We’ll reveal the game in the spring, and deliver a defining Battlefield experience for our players in the 2021 holiday season.”

So, now the next Battlefield game or the Battlefield 6 whatever it may be called is officially confirmed. EA has also confirmed that the new upcoming Battlefield game will be bigger and larger than ever before that will feature huge maps, more players than ever before, and next-gen console upgrades.

To recall, during the Electronic Arts EA Play Live back in June last year, EA in addition to FIFA 21, Madden NFL 21, and Star Wars Squadrons, also given us a preview of the games including Battlefield 6, Dragon Age 4 & More for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
