After weeks of rumors and speculation, Juho Sarvikas, chief product officer, HMD Global today officially announced the next affordable Android Go edition phone the all-new Nokia 1.4. Notably, the new Nokia 1.4 comes as the successor to last year’s Nokia 1.3 and also packs some upgraded specs and features as well.
As for the key specifications, the new Nokia 1.4 includes a 6.5-inch HD+ display, 8MP dual cameras with portrait and macro lens, and up to 64GB of storage. The phone also has a display notch at the top for a 5MP selfie camera and features a physical fingerprint sensor at the rear of the phone.
Nokia 1.4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 SoC that comes coupled with 1GB + 16GB and 3GB + 64GB RAM and storage. The phone runs on Android 10 (Go Edition) but is upgradable to Android 11 (Go Edition). The phone packs a 4,000mAh battery with standard 5W charging support. The battery is touted to provide up to two days of power.
Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and microUSB port.
Nokia 1.4 price starts at $99 for the 1GB RAM and 16GB storage variant. There is no availability details available yet.
