It appears that Asus ZenFone 8 Pro India launch is nearing soon as the smartphone has got Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. Notably, Asus is expected to launch ZenFone 8 series including the ZenFone 8 Mini and the vanilla ZenFone 8 on May 12 globally.
Coming back to the BIS listing, according to a tweet by a tipster (@the_tech_guy), an alleged listing of the upcoming ZenFone 8 Pro smartphone with the model number ASUS_I007D, has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The model number is allegedly supposed to be the ZenFone 8 Pro.
Notably, ZenFone 8 Pro is scheduled to launch globally on May 12. But, Asus hasn’t confirmed anything about ZenFone 8 Pro in India launch date yet. The phone will be launched at a virtual event scheduled for May 12 at 7 pm CEST (10.30 pm IST).
So far, several reports have claimed that all the three devices in the ZenFone 8 series will come powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 SoC. While on the other hand, the ZenFone 8 Mini will come with a 5.92-inch OLED FHD+ display with a punch-hole design. The display of the phone is also expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The ZenFone 8 Mini is also expected to come with a dual-camera setup, a 4,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, and IP68 ratings for dust and waterproofing the device.
