Windows 11 PC System Requirements

The next version of Windows 11 has officially been released with tons of new features and upgrades. Microsoft has said that Windows 11 will soon be available through a free upgrade for eligible Windows 10 PCs and on new PCs beginning this holiday.

But to make sure your current Windows 10 PC meets the minimum system requirements. Microsoft has released the Windows 11 system requirements so you can check if your PC meets with minimum requirements.

Below you can find Windows 11 minimum PC system requirements.

Windows 11 System Requirements

Processor1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC)
RAMMin 4 GB (gigabyte)
Storage64 GB or larger storage device

System firmwareUEFI, Secure Boot capable
TPMTrusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0
Graphics cardCompatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 driver
DisplayHigh definition (720p) display that is greater than 9” diagonally, 8 bits per colour channel
Internet connection and Microsoft accountsWindows 11 Home edition requires internet connectivity and a Microsoft account to complete device setup on first use.

Switching a device out of Windows 11 Home in S mode also requires internet connectivity. Learn more about S mode here.

For all Windows 11 editions, internet access is required to perform updates and to download and take advantage of some features. A Microsoft account is required for some features.

How to check if your current PC is eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 11?

Not, every Windows PC will be eligible to get the free upgrade to Windows 11. So, how would you know if your PC is eligible to get the free upgrade? well, to check if your current Windows 10 PC is eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 11.

Simply download the Windows PC Health Check app and after downloading the app run it and then click on the blue Check now button to start the checkup, see the image below.
