If you didn’t download the latest Fortnite update yet. Then you should update your game now. The latest Fortnite update (v18.00 Hotfix) patch notes is now available to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and PC players. The latest Fortnite update brings item vote, armored wall, and Battle Royale’s 4th birthday.
Fortnite is now giving players the option to choose which vaulted item returns to Battle Royale with the new in-game voting system. The Shockwave Launcher and Rift-To-Go are the first two items players can choose between to introduce back into Battle Royale. You can also use the new Voting system to bring any cosmetic items back to Fortnite Item Shop.
The Fortnite update v18.00 Hotfix also brings a brand new item to Fortnite: The ‘Armored Wall’ Trap. It can be used on walls, floors, ramps, and cones to provide them with 2,500 more HP health.
The Armored Wall is technically considered a Trap, probably because it’s a time sink to try to break one. Starting at 9 AM ET, I’m placing these fortified fixtures in Supply Drops and scattering ‘em on the ground — pick some up for extra defense! (For when you’re outside The Sideways, of course…)
Finally, the latest Fortnite update marks the beginning of Fortnite’s fourth birthday event is set to start on September 24th with new Quests and free limited-time cosmetics available to unlock.
Completing birthday Quests, players can unlock the cake-based 4 Me??? Back Bling, cake-on-a-stick Hooplah Hammer Pickaxe, and cupcake 4? Score! Emoticon! Like the Birthday Cakes and Presents, these Quests will be live from September 24 at 9 AM ET to September 28 at 2 AM ET.
