Here is How to Update PS5 DualSense via PC on Windows 10/11

You can now update your PlayStation 5 DualSense controller firmware via PC. Sony has created a help page to explain what’s required to update the DualSense controller. If you have been looking for a way where you can update your DualSense PS5 controller using your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC then you can do it now.

You can follow simple instructions below. After downloading and installing the new updater, you need to pair your PS5 DualSense controller with your PC. Be fore we start the update process let’s first tell you about the requirements your PC needs in order to update the firmware your PS5 DualSense controller.

System Requirements

Your PC need the following system requirements in order perform PS5 DualSense firmware update.

  • OS – Windows 10 (64 bit) or Windows 11
  • Storage space – 10 MB or more
  • Display resolution – 1024 × 768 or higher
  • USB port – Required

Update PS5 DualSense via PC (Windows 10/11)

To update your PS5 DualSense controller firmware via PC, you will first need to download and install the firmware updater app on your PC.

Download Firmware updater for DualSense wireless controller and save it to your desktop or other location.

  • Run the installation file, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the app.
    During the installation, you might see a request to download additional software that’s needed to use [Firmware updater for DualSense wireless controller]. To download this software, follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Launch Firmware updater for DualSense wireless controller.
  • Use a USB cable to connect your controller to your Windows PC, and then follow the on-screen instructions to start the update. Don’t turn off your Windows PC or disconnect the USB cable during the update. When the update is complete, a message appears. Select [OK] to finish the process.

Once the updater has finished, you’ll receive a notification to confirm that the DualSense controller is updated. Then, you can play your PS5 games on your PC.
