Rumours are already flying that AMD will launch the Ryzen 7000 series on September 15th. While this would be a bit early for a September launch, AMD’s timing fits in well with its plans for the Fall 2020 launch of Zen 4, and with rumours of a late-October release for Radeon RX 6000 series. AMD released its Ryzen 5000 series a few months before the Radeon RX 6000 series, and the AMD Ryzen 7000 could launch around the same time.

AMD recently held a reseller meeting in China and shared a slide that shows the initial sale date for Ryzen 7000 processors and AMD AM5 motherboards. Although AMD did not explicitly declare a release date, it does say the chips will be available in the US in the fall of 2022. It’s unlikely that AMD will make a decision to release the Ryzen 7000 before the fall of 2022, but the September 15th launch date looks pretty believable.

AMD has stepped up the hype surrounding its upcoming Ryzen 7000 chipset over the past several months, presenting it at Computex and at a financial analyst day.

Rumors suggest that AMD will begin mass production in April or May and distribute them by the end of July or August. Therefore, the AMD Ryzen 7000 processors could be shipping in the summer months.
