Sony’s upcoming PSVR 2 game, Horizon Call of the Mountain, has officially received a gameplay trailer. The trailer was first revealed during the PlayStation State of Play showcase. During the event, the game was also confirmed to be a male protagonist. The game also confirms the existence of robotic dinosaurs and a range of weapons and gadgets.
Horizon Call of the Mountain for PSVR 2 is being developed by Guerrilla and Firesprite and will launch this spring on the PSVR2 virtual reality headset. The gameplay trailer shows off different locations, basic gameplay mechanics, and battles with well-known monsters.
The game follows the story of Ryas, a former Karja warrior who travels to Sundom to investigate a new threat. The game will feature post-apocalyptic worlds and push the hardware’s technological boundaries.
The game will feature the world of Horizon, a place that was reclaimed from a mystical and dangerous land. In the PSVR 2 version, players will be able to climb mountains, engage in combat, and even fight monstrous machines.
The game was announced by Guerrilla Games and Firesprite, who also developed Horizon Forbidden West. Previously, the studios have worked on Run Sackboy! VR, The Playroom, and The Persistence, which were also released for the PSVR.
The dev has also announced that there will new patch coming soon for the Horizon Forbidden West that will include VRR support and a 40FPS Mode.
The game’s new character, Ryas, will be an interesting addition. Former Shadow Carja warrior, Ryas, was recently freed from prison by Blameless Marad, the Sun King’s right-hand man.
Despite being a skilled climber and archer, Ryas washed ashore following an attack by Snapmaw. In addition to climbing, the game will also feature an “Excursion on the River” where players can share the experience with friends and family.
