During State of Play broadcast on Thursday on May 2, Sony announced the release date for the Resident Evil 4. The dev also presented the first look at the remake by releasing the Resident Evil 4 announcement trailer.
Capcom has announced that the Resident Evil 4 will officially release on March 24, 2023. The remake will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
The re-release will also contain new game plus, Mercenaries mode, and a brand-new side story featuring Ada Wong. The new story fills in the many story holes that the original game left open.
The Resident Evil series was originally Sony PlayStation-focused, and the first three games were exclusively developed for the PlayStation. However, in 2001, Capcom signed a deal with Nintendo, which resulted in three Resident Evil games and four non-Resident Evil games.
After the series’ success with the original game, the sequels have been a hit. Resident Evil 4’s sequel, called Resident Evil 7, brought back the same characters and a similar virus meter. With Resident Evil 4, the game is expected to have even more character depth and storyline. If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll be delighted by Resident Evil 4.
