The official Street Fighter 6 announcement trailer has been released and it has a snippet of the game’s new art direction. The trailer was released during the Sony’s State of Play along with the Resident Evil 4 release date and trailer. The new trailer shows off several characters including Chun-Li and Ryu in action. It also introduces the character Luke, a character from Street Fighter V. The game also has an online multiplayer suite called Battle Hub.
It will be the first in the Street Fighter series to include commentator voices. There’s no word on a release date yet, but the game is expected to be released in 2023.
In the Street Fighter 6 announcement trailer, Capcom says that the game will feature real-time in-game commentary, similar to the commentary found in sports video games. The video also shows Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez speaking English and Aru speaking Japanese.

It’s not yet known whether Street Fighter 6 will feature multilingual commentary. The trailer ends with a promise of more reveals this summer.
Capcom’s latest graphical engine, Reach For the Moon/RE-Engine, is also likely to power the upcoming Street Fighter 6 entry. The RE-Engine was recently featured in games like Resident Evil 7 and Devil May Cry 5.
