AMD has released a new 22.7.1 version of its graphics driver, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin, for Windows. The new driver features improvements and optimizations and supports Swordsman Remake, Windows 11 22H2 version, and AMD Agility SDK Shader Model 6.7. Other new features include improved background noise reduction and more Vulkan extensions. The new driver also promises to deliver more clarity. The AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin 22.7.1 Update will provide a smoother gaming experience, and it promises improved performance.

The updated drivers bring several improvements, including support for “Swordsman Remake,” Radeon Boost plus VRS with Elden Ring, Resident Evil Village and VALORANT and more. Additional improvements include support for Windows 11 22H2 Update and additional Vulkan API extensions.

The new drivers also fix lower-than-expected F@H performance for RX 6000-series GPUs. Furthermore, the latest AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin update disables auto-fan-stop during idle, and fixes blurry web video upscaling.

In addition to improved OpenGL performance, the AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 Update also adds support for Windows 11 22H2 and major Windows 11 updates.

OpenGL performance improvements have been a long-time coming issue for AMD graphics cards, but this driver has finally been brought forward for Windows. AMD has already shown some performance results using Minecraft, and broader test results should be available soon.
