VALORANT’s “Premier” Mode: All You Need to Know

Riot Games has announced a new competitive mode for Valorant, called “Premier. Premier will give Valorant players an extra boost in the game’s competitive ecosystem. The new mode will allow players to create teams and compete against others in weekly matches and tournaments.

The new Premier mode will help players get beyond the Radiant rankings and into a more structured league system. It will also help casual players stand out and get picked up by professional teams. Valorant boosters are already talking about this game mode suggesting it could be very popular; the same is said by big pros too.

As the competitive aspect of VALORANT continues to grow, Riot Games is making the competitive mode more immersive. Players will be able to create teams of their choice and compete in pre-scheduled matches with other players.

While VALORANT has been known for its competitive mode, its new tournament mode will give players of any skill level a chance to compete for higher stakes in a competitive circuit.

This new mode will also allow players to compete against other plaAlphayers who have reached the Radiant level. Riot Games has yet to reveal whether or not this competitive mode will be open to everyone, or just for those who are already Radiant.

Valorant Premier Mode will allow players to build teams of up to five friends. Then, the teams will compete in a season of scheduled matches. These matches will last a few weeks, and a Division Champion will be named at the end of each season.

While this new mode is still in the early stages, players can test it out in VALORANT’s upcoming “Premier Alpha Test scheduled to go live next week in Brazil.

Next week, Valorant Players in Brazil will be able to test out the new Premier mode including the few key features listed below.

  • Team creation (with team logos and colors)
  • Server load
  • Tournament play (including a map pick-and-ban system)
  • Premier Score (and qualifying for the end-of-season tournament)
  • Matchmaking and queue health throughout the Alpha
  • General bugs
  • …and much more!
