The Resident Evil 4 remake is releasing next month, and Capcom has unleashed a playable demo that gives players a taste of what’s to come. The ‘Chainsaw Demo’ is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
The demo is available from today and can be downloaded from the respective digital storefronts, allowing gamers to get a feel for the new game before it launches later this month. It has no time limit and can be replayed as many times as you like, which should give players an opportunity to sharpen their skills before the full release date.

The Chainsaw Demo is the latest in a wave of recent playable demos for Capcom’s highly anticipated remake. It features a specially tuned version of the game’s opening sequence, which will allow players to experience Leon S. Kennedy’s harrowing trip into an infected village in Europe, where he will face off against some of the most notorious enemies in the original game.
It’s a must-try for anyone who’s eager to try out the Resident Evil 4 remake and its re-imagined storyline before the full release. Unlike other recent Resident Evil game demos, this one doesn’t have a time limit and will let you play it as many times as you like before the final release date of March 24.
It will also let you play a special mode that’s a must-try if you’re planning on getting this new game. This mode is called ‘Mad Chainsaw Mode‘ and will appear on your screen after you select ‘New Game’, though it’s RNG-based so it may take a few runs before you get this special challenge.
