Intel has officially announced the release of its latest desktop graphics processing units (GPUs) under the Arc Pro lineup, introducing the A60 Pro and its mobile counterpart, the A60M Pro. These GPUs are based on Intel’s highly anticipated Xe-HPG architecture, codenamed Alchemist. The A60 Pro and A60M Pro are set to offer impressive performance and capabilities, making them enticing options for both gamers and content creators.

At the heart of these GPUs lies the new Alchemist ACM-G12, the third GPU in the Alchemist series. While Intel had not previously confirmed its existence, the product announcements have put all doubts to rest. The ACM-G12 presents an entirely fresh GPU option for users.

The ACM-G12 boasts 16 Xe-Cores, equivalent to 256 FP32 shading units, and is equipped with 12GB of GDDR6 memory. Additionally, it features half the number of GPU cores found in the G10, amounting to 16 cores, and supports a memory bus width of up to 192 bits.

The A60 Pro is expected to include up to 256 XMX cores, with a clock speed reaching up to 2.4 GHz. Its thermal design power (TDP) is rated at 130W, and it utilizes a PCIe 4.0 x16 interface. On the other hand, the mobile variant will offer a slightly lower clock speed, reaching up to 1.3 GHz.

Intel has confirmed that the A60 Pro GPU will begin shipping in the coming weeks, while the A60M Pro mobile version is slated for release in the coming months. According to reports from HardwareLuxx, the A60 Pro is expected to have an affordable price tag of $175, which is highly competitive for a GPU offering 12GB of memory.

This pricing strategy aims to make the A60 Pro an attractive option for budget-conscious users who still desire excellent performance.

The launch of Intel’s Arc Pro A60 and A60M GPUs, along with the introduction of the ACM-G12, signals Intel’s entry into the high-performance GPU market, aiming to challenge existing players and provide consumers with more choices for their gaming and creative endeavors.

With its promising specifications and a compelling price point, the A60 series is poised to make a strong impression in the market and capture the attention of users seeking exceptional graphics performance.
