OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T as started receiving its first software update in 2019. OnePlus has now started rolling out the stable OxygenOS 9.0.1 update for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. This would be the first software update on any OnePlus device in the new year. The two devices last month received the Android 9 Pie based on OxygenOS 9.0 update and today, the two devices have got another update.
The new OxygenOS 9.0.1 update brings improved the Wi-Fi connection stability, Reading mode, and sRGB display mode. The update also fixes the random reboot and 4G VoLTE toggle issues.
The OxygenOS 9.0.1 update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T is incremental so, it will be available for a limited number of users for now, so it might take few more days to arrive on your device.
If you want the update early, then you can use a VPN app (location set to Germany/Canada) to get the update. You can also check for the update on your OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T by going to Settings > System > Software updates.
