The 9.1 update for PUBG can also be tested on the consoles in a few hours. Among other things, the focus is on the frame rate setting priority including 60 FPS support for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
New features and content for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds are incoming: Update 9.1 will be played on the console test server until 4:00 the next night. After that, it will be available for PS4 and Xbox One players.
As on the PC, the new map Paramo is added, which reveals a dynamic battlefield. The other components of the update are also comparable to the changes on the PC. However, in the case of the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro, changes are also made to the frame rate priority.
The makers write: “The Framerate Priority setting has some exciting changes this time around. The frame cap is now lifted to 60 FPS and the screen resolution will be set to 1920 x 1080 to increase framerates. The new Framerate Priority is available on Xbox One X and the PlayStation 4 Pro, and we are investigating ways to bring the lifted frame cap to other console devices as well. Stay tuned.”
PTS Schedule:
Please note that we will have the following modes open for the 9.1 PTS on NA server.
This is how you can take part in the test phase:
PS4: You can find the PUBG Public Test Server in the Purchased section of your library.
Xbox: You can find the PUBG Public Test Server in the Microsoft Store or in the My Games and Apps menu.
The complete patch notes for update 9.1 with further details on the PTS phase can be found on the official page of PUBG. The regular PC release of the update will take place on October 21, 2020, before console players will have their turn on October 29, 2020.
