Spider-Man: Miles Morales Offers Two Resolution on PS5

Announced during the event State of Play of Sony held last June, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is one of the launch titles most anticipated by future buyers of PlayStation 5, the next-generation console of the Japanese giant.

Many details of the game produced by Insomniac are now known, including the possibility, for buyers of the game on PS4, to be able to upgrade to the next-gen version for free or support for 4K resolution and at 60 FPS.

With regard to these last two characteristics, new information has emerged in the past few hours regarding the possibility of being able to take advantage, on PS5, of two different video modes with features aimed at favouring performance or graphic quality, depending on the preferences of each.

According to what was communicated by the GameInformer portal following an exchange of information with the developers, this is specifically about the modes called Fidelity Mode and Performance Mode.

The first definitely favours the graphic detail of the game, fully supporting Ray-Tracing, 4K resolution and a stable framerate at 30 FPS. The Performance Mode instead focuses on performance, giving priority to the framerate at 60 FPS and dynamic 4K resolution.

Also confirmed, again by GameInformer, the title’s support for the two peculiar characteristics of the DualSense controller, namely haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Thanks to the first it will be possible to perceive, for example, when the cobweb bullets will be exploded while thanks to the second it will be possible to modulate the oscillations while we jump from one building to another.

As already mentioned at the beginning of the article, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will arrive at the same time as PlayStation 5 release on November 12th.
