The developer THQ Nordic has released the first gameplay trailer for Outcast 2, an upcoming PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC action-adventure adventure game. The trailer is a three-and-a-half-minute extended cinematic trailer that tells the story of the mysterious hero, Ulukai. The game will feature a new story set around 20 years after the first game’s events. It is still unclear when the game will be released. In the meantime, the trailer is available to view below.
Outcast 2 is a sequel to the 1999 action adventure hit, a nonlinear third-person shooter. The sequel takes place on the alien planet Adelphi and puts players in the shoes of protagonist Cutter Slade.
It brings the franchise into the modern age while maintaining some of the original’s best features. In the first game, players had to fight against a band of evil, but this time they must face a new danger – the Inhumans.
The developer THQ Nordic is quickly building a reputation for bringing back popular franchises with new games. Their recent releases include the remade Destroy All Humans! series and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
The developer also revealed that Outcast 2 – A New Beginning is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, with a release date to be announced later.
