PlayStation 5 Event on September 5 Will Reveal Price, Release Date, UI & More

It is undeniable that the interest and the eyes of all are players are currently focused on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, the two next-generation video game platforms from Microsoft and Sony respectively. And the console of the Japanese giant is the protagonist of some indiscretions that emerged on the net in the very last hours that seem to provide the date on which some of the questions related to the heir of PlayStation 4, still left unanswered, will be clarified.

The leaks that we are going to describe come from the 4chan platform that, guaranteeing the anonymity of the one who posts the news and not offering a way to verify the authenticity of the information, cannot be considered 100% reliable.

As you can see from the image here, the post uploaded to 4chan would seem to confirm the arrival of a Sony event on September 9, focused entirely on PlayStation 5. According to what was reported in the post, during the event more information will be released by the Japanese on the full specification of the platform and details about all User Interface (UI), the date of launch and price list.

Regarding the hardware equipment of the PlayStation 5, thanks to the official Sony blog at the moment we know that it has an octa-core x86-64-AMD Ryzen “Zen 2” CPU, on an AMD Radeon RDNA 2 GPU, 16 gigabytes of GDDR6 RAM and an 825-gigabyte solid-state hard drive (SSD). According to what emerges from the leak, there would be other information regarding the hardware equipment that could be revealed.

Also, in the course of this hypothetical event we could finally take a look at the user interface that will animate the console’s operating system along with the real official release date, currently announced for the end of the current year. The actual day on which PlayStation 5 will be available in stores is still a mystery.

Finally, according to the rumor, the extension of PlayStation Now to 10 other countries will be announced; a new trailer for Horizon 2: Forbidden West will be shown; there will be the announcement of a new horror game by SIE Japan Studio (creators of the Ape’s Escape series) and a partnership will be announced that will lead to the release of 30 party-games.

Waiting for official information from Sony and considering that 4chan has often spread unreliable leaks as a source, we invite you to take the information we have reported with a grain of salt.
