Sony has confirmed the PSVR2 launch date and will be launching the PSVR2 device globally on February 22, 2023, priced at $549. The headset will be bundled with two PS VR2 Sense controllers. The company announced the release through PlayStation’s official blog post. Sony has also confirmed that the preorder for the PSVR2 as well as the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station will start on the same day starting November 15.
Players in the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg will initially be able to pre-order PlayStation VR2 solely through PlayStation’s online store at direct.playstation.com. In other markets, PlayStation VR2 will be sold at participating retailers.
The company has also revealed the list of PS VR 2 specs. These include see-through view, eye tracking, 3D audio, headset haptics, scrolling weapon wheel with eye and more.
In addition to previously announced, Horizon Call of the Mountain, Resident Evil 4, No Man’s Sky and Firewall Ultra. Sony has announced 11 new VR titles that will be available for the PS VR2 when it launches. These new PSVR2 games include the following games.
The PlayStation VR2 will feature an improved display with a 110-degree field of view and dual fresnel lenses. The screen resolution will be 2040 x 2000, which is significantly better than previous versions.
In addition, the PlayStation VR2 will feature built-in eye-tracking, which allows developers to make use of focalized rendering. This technology improves visuals and helps save system resources. It also helps developers create more realistic avatars and gives players new ways to interact with their virtual world.
The PlayStation VR2 is known as the Sense Ji in Chinese. It was inspired by a Chinese character named Ju Jie Shao. This Chinese character has a large, round head. This is what makes the PlayStation VR2 so unique. It allows players to feel as if they’re in an immersive environment and can be controlled via the PlayStation controllers.
The PlayStation VR2 is set to launch on February 22, 2023, for $549.
