A few weeks ago Electronic Arts confirmed that the upcoming shooter Battlefield 6 will be officially unveiled in the course of spring. If we believe the information provided by a usually well-informed insider is true, the announcement will be made in May.
The developers at DICE are currently working on the first-person shooter Battlefield 6 that was confirmed quite a while ago. In addition, Electronic Arts announced a few weeks ago that the ambitious project will be unveiled in spring 2021.
As part of a live stream, GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb, who made a name for himself as a reliable insider source in the past, went into this topic again and pointed out that the announcement of Battlefield 6 would probably take place in May will go: “May. Things are still fluid. They haven’t announced anything publicly yet. But my understanding is that they’re probably looking at May.”
Since so far neither Electronic Arts nor the developers of DICE have wanted to comment on Grubb’s information, these should of course be taken with the necessary caution for the time being. The same applies to the various rumors that have reached us in the past few weeks.
Among other things, there was talk of a modern setting, large-scale battles, abundant destruction and the fact that in addition to the PC and the new generation of consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One consoles will also get Battlefield 2021.
So far it has only been officially confirmed that Criterion Games is supporting DICE in the work on Battlefield 6.
